AWS us-east-1 — EBS API degradation
A failure in the metadata service of the EBS control plane in the us-east-1 region resulted in elevated API error rates and timeouts for volume attach/detach operations. Validators relying on EBS-backed state were unable to write checkpoints during the incident window.
